Dell has expanded its Vostro PC line for small businesses with a new desktop system designed to operate right out of the box, the firm said.
Available immediately, the Vostro 260 is designed for easy set up aimed at "liberating customers to focus on their business", according to Dell, and is packaged with features to meet a company's processing, security and IT needs.
The system is available in two versions: the Vostro 260 in a mini-tower case, and the smaller Vostro 260s slim tower configuration.
Buyers can choose from Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processors, up to 4GB memory, hard drives up to 500GB and a DVD-Rom or DVD-RW drive.
Software bundled with the system includes Dell's Backup and Recovery Manager and Trend Micro Business Security, while customers get a limited hardware warranty that can be extended to up to three years.
Pricing starts at a cost-effective £229.
Dell updated its Vostro line of notebooks in March with a new line-up which it said would extend battery life to as long as 12 hours. The 3000 range offers 13in, 14in, 15in and 17in screen sizes and sports Intel's latest Core processors.
