Security matters once again topped the most read articles this week, with the news that there could be more Stuxnet-like attacks on the way after 50 new threats were discovered targeting industrial control systems.

These Scada systems are often at greater risk because they are connected to legacy operating systems such as Windows 95, for which there are no service packs or automatic updates.

V3.co.uk readers were also keen to find out more on an online attack known as Blackhole discovered by AVG. The Blackhole Exploit Kit has enabled as many as 800,000 attacks a day, according to the security vendor.

On a related security note, we reported how some more old-fashioned crooks have been caught by police in Texas after they bragged on Facebook about their raid on a bank.

Elsewhere in the top 10, V3.co.uk readers flocked to our story about the Amazon Web Services outage, Google losing a $5m Linux patent case to Bedrock Computer Technologies, and news that Iron Mountain is dropping its cloud storage division.

Also popular were our first look review of the much-anticipated RIM PlayBook and our review of the Dell Latitude E6520, as well as news on a new Lenovo Android tablet and a warning for iPad users on data roaming charges abroad.
