Oracle is giving advance notice of a security update that addresses 73 vulnerabilities in 25 products. The update is set to arrive on 19 April.
The company said in a security update pre-release announcement that the affected products are Oracle Database 11g, Fusion Middleware, Application Server and People Enterprise platforms.
Six vulnerabilities will be patched in Oracle Database Server, including two which could allow an attacker to remotely perform an exploit without the need for user log-in credentials.
The Fusion Middleware update contains nine fixes, including six for flaws which could be remotely exploited by an attacker.
A total of 18 fixes for Sun products are also planned for release, including seven for remote exploit vulnerabilities.
The patch release follows a busy week on the security front after a record-breaking Patch Tuesday from Microsoft in which 64 flaws were addressed.
Apple followed suit with an update for iOS, Safari and Mac OS X, and Adobe is preparing to issue a fix for a vulnerability in Flash Player which is currently being exploited in the wild.
