The most popular story with V3.co.uk readers this week has been news of yet another security scam. Facebook users were being targeted with messages designed to trick them into downloading a rogue third-party application, by pretending that the site is closing all of its accounts.

The scam shows once again how important it is for firms to educate staff on these kinds of threats. The worst that could happen with this incident was that users would be taken to an online survey to earn the scammers' commission, but other rogue apps could have more harmful effects.

Also popular was our review of the HTC Incredible S, which has a decent 4in screen and the popular Sense interface, but runs on the older Android 2.2 mobile browser instead of the current Gingerbread version. We gave it a three-star rating.

For tablet fans, there was welcome news that the Motorola Xoom pre-order price has dropped to £199 - but customers would be required to sign a 24-month contract at £25 a month to get the device at that low cost.

And there was some good and bad news for RIM this week. Chief executive Mike Lazaridis halted an interview with the BBC after balking at some pretty innocuous questions, never a good PR moment for any firm.

But on a brighter note, RIM's BlackBerry Enterprise Solution remains the only platform cleared for high security use, according to the latest guidance from GCHQ, giving it a welcome leg-up over iPhone and Android challengers.
