Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has released an integrated platform for managing IT hardware and software.
IT Operations Director combines IT asset management with software distribution and security management, and integrates with other HDS applications.
In combining the platforms under a single banner, Hitachi is looking to offer an all-in-one system that can cover the entire lifecycle for enterprise systems.
"Businesses realise that asset management, security compliance and automated software deployment are critical for success," said HDS senior vice president for IT operations software Tetsuya Masuishi.
"IT Operations Director delivers the added protection, control and efficiency that all businesses need to effectively manage the IT environment."
The software can also be combined with Hitachi's Operations Analyser tool to better collect data on IT systems.
The company said that the platform can also help to improve IT efficiency by streamlining the process of collecting and analysing data on IT infrastructure, as well as streamlining management tasks and helping to ensure compliance and protect against data breaches.
To help promote the platform, Hitachi is offering business customers a free 30-day trial of Operations Director.
