Orange has launched new data tariffs aimed at providing business customers with greater simplicity when choosing a mobile broadband plan, as well as the option of tethering.

Business Everywhere is available as a standalone plan or as an add-on to an existing voice tariff, in 30-day and 12- or 24-month contracts.

Customers can choose from dongle, tablet, smartphone or laptop, with tablets including the iPad, iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab on offer.

The plans are then split into 1GB, 3GB or 10GB per month options, priced at £12.50, £22.50 and £35 for 30-day rolling contracts and a much lower £7.50, £12.50 and £25 on the 24-month contract.

Customers choosing the 12-month contract can also save a fair bit with charges ranging from £10 for 1GB a month to £30 for 10GB.

"Of course we understand that some customers do not want to pay a lot for a tablet or laptop up front so we have created a separate plan for customers wanting to limit their upfront costs," said Darren Hopper, head of SME marketing at Everything Everywhere.

"Customers wanting an iPad or Samsung tablet can choose to pay a higher monthly fee of £22.50 over a 24 month period and get 2GB of data to use anytime they wish. There is a lower upfront cost associated with this model of £100-200."

Following O2's lead, Orange will also support tethering in its new Business Everywhere tariffs, allowing workers on the go to use a smartphone as a modem to connect tablets or netbooks to the internet.
