MSI has introduced an ultra-slim laptop with a large 15.6in display but measuring just 9mm at its thinnest point and weighing 2.1kg.
The MSI X600, available immediately, is aimed at style-conscious buyers who want quality and power, and enjoy gaming, but prefer slim designs that are portable, according to the firm.
Based on Intel ultra-low voltage processors, the X600 models all have 4GB of DDR2 memory and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 3D graphics accelerator.
The X600 is between 9mm and 25mm thick, and has a six-cell battery. The 15.6in display has a resolution of 1,680 x 1,050 pixels, and the laptop supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi in addition to a gigabit Ethernet port.
MSI is offering two configurations: the X600-055UK has a 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo SU9600 processor, 500GB hard drive and built-in optical drive for £799; while the X600-067UK has a single-core 1.3GHz Pentium SU2700 processor, 320GB hard drive and lacks an optical drive for £599.
Both models are available in black or silver, backed by a two-year collect-and-return international warranty.
