A Finnish member of parliament, and ardent Star Trek fan, has translated his re-election website into Klingon.
Jyrki Kasvi, a member of the Finnish Parliament from constituency Uusimaa, represents the Green League. He is running in the national elections on 18 March.
"Some have thought it is blasphemy to mix politics and Klingon," said Kasvi. "Others say it is good if politicians can laugh at themselves."
Kasvi said there were some problems with creating the page as the fiercely battle-centric Klingon society does not have words like 'tolerance' or 'green' in its vocabulary.
For those not fluent in the alien language Kasvi has also posted a 'translation to non-warriors'. The rest of site is also available in Swedish and English.
Despite being a fictional language, Star Trek fans have embraced and developed Klingon, translating a range of famous texts including the Bible.
