Fujitsu Siemens Computers has confirmed it will be the latest manufacturer to release a mini laptop.
The Amilo mini netbook will be officially unveiled at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin later this month.
It will be based on Intel's Atom processor and run Windows XP. The device is anticipated to cost around £300. It also allows users to choose a number of differently coloured clip-on casings.
