The Duke of York has been flying the flag for Britain at 3GSM in Barcelona as part of his role as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
Prince Andrew made a special visit to the British pavilion and met with UK firms selling mobile technology. He then talked to overseas businesspeople to discuss the benefits of British technology.
"Prince Andrew was a very big draw for foreign visitors," said Mike Short, chairman of the Mobile Data Association, who hosted the visit.
"He was also very switched on, both in conversations with myself and others. As a regular mobile user he knows his stuff."
The prince went on to attend a UK trade and investment lunch at the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
