Novell has announced an open beta version of its latest collaboration system GroupWise, as customers demand advanced networking solutions.
The system combines calendar and email facilities with Web 2.0 tools and can run on a range of platforms, including those used by mobile devices.
Novell is keeping up with customer demand for up to the minute solutions for developing business relationships, said Kent Erickson, senior vice president at Novell Workgroup Solutions.
"Organisations are looking for innovative collaboration tools that keep their employees focused on moving business forward and their systems running smoothly, without increasing their costs," he said.
"GroupWise builds on its reputation as the most secure and reliable email platform, bringing Novell's strengths with traditional collaboration together with social networking tools to give customers a solution that works like they do, enabling them to harness their creativity, drive efficiency and advance business relationships."
