Lenovo has officially introduced the 15in version of its ThinkPad Edge laptop range for small to mid-sized firms in Europe.
Available now through Lenovo business partners, the ThinkPad Edge 15 combines fast processing, wireless options and VoIP telephony features, in a sleek modern design with prices starting at £474, according to Lenovo.
Lenovo's ThinkPad Edge range was unveiled at CES in January, but only the 13in ultraportable model had been available before now.
Although designed for a budget price, the ThinkPad Edge models keep the ThinkVantage technologies of more costly ThinkPads, including Rescue and Recovery and Active Protection System.
The new model has a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 high-definition display, and a choice of Intel Core i5, Core i3 and Celeron processors, with up to 4GB memory and hard disk capacities up to 500GB.
The ThinkPad Edge weighs 2.49kg, and includes a DVD/RW drive, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and optional 3G broadband modem. Battery life is quoted at up to 4.5 hours.
