Online applications firm Zoho has launched a new version of its web-based portal designed to enable enterprise grade group collaboration and content sharing.
Zoho Wiki 2.0 allows users to create individual workspaces for separate teams, each with the capacity to function as a separate portal.
The portal also offers more granular access controls, as well as regular updates which can keep users notified of the latest changes to their particular wiki or workspace.
The new Zoho Wiki can be personalised with a wide variety of widgets, allowing users to customise dashboards with content from sources such as YouTube, Google and Box.net.
Hyther Nizam, director of product management at Zoho, claimed that the latest enhancements provide increased flexibility while maintaining enterprise-level security.
"Zoho Wiki 2.0 represents an evolution from individual to business-focused wikis," he said.
"To succeed, companies need to communicate freely and easily. They also need to communicate securely. Now, organisations can use Zoho Wiki 2.0 as an intranet or online knowledge base as well as a tool for intra- and inter-team collaboration."
