Texas Instruments has unveiled a PDA design which it said is the first handheld to incorporate wireless local area network, Bluetooth and GSM/GPRS technologies.
Code-named Wanda (Wireless Any Network Digital Assistant), the Windows Pocket PC "tri-wireless PDA concept design" is powered by Texas Instruments' OMAP processors.

Its hybrid communications capabilities enable simultaneous phone calls, web browsing, mobile commerce and Bluetooth connectivity, such as printing and headset listening.
Cindy Wolf, an analyst at In-Stat/MDR, said: "Our latest report indicates growth in the PDA market near 20 per cent per year over the next five years, with the most significant growth rate anticipated in 2003.
"The proliferation of integrated PDAs that enable multiple functionalities, including cellular, 802.11 and Bluetooth, will help to facilitate the continued market growth for devices that enable high levels of connectivity and customisation."
The Wanda design will be available for PDA manufacturers in April 2003.
