VKernel claims that Capacity Analyzer 2.0 can save enterprises time and money

VKernel, the developer of virtual machine solutions, is now shipping its Capacity Analyzer 2.0 virtual appliance.

New features in this release, which is available to download from the VKernel web site, include an improved user interface and enhanced scalability.

The firm said that it could be used to ensure optimal performance in any VMware ESX environment and would save enterprises time and money.

The capacity assessment tool monitors CPU usage, memory and storage resource trends to identify existing and future capacity problems, VKernel said.

"For virtualisation projects to move forward to the size and scope organisations ultimately desire, performance issues must continually be solved to provide a level of confidence that allows business critical application servers to be virtualised," said Alex Bakman, founder and chief executive at VKernel.

"Our Capacity Analyzer delivers a detailed level of insight into the current and future performance of VMware environments to eliminate serious risks and optimise the end-user experience."

Users refer to a single dashboard for up-to-date information and advanced analytics on their VMware environments.

The VKernel Capacity Analyzer virtual appliance is currently available with pricing starting at $199 (£114) per CPU socket for the standard edition.

A free, full production 14-day trial version of the VKernel virtual appliance is available from the firm's web site.
