Sony has objected to the development of "undesirable" pornographic films targeting its Playstation Portable (PSP) handheld entertainment console, due for launch in Europe on 1 September.
The eight films, with titles such as High Grade Class First Soap Lady and Erotic Terrorist Beautiful Body, will be released in July on Sony's Universal Media Disc (UMD) format.
Sony has creative control of all games released for the PSP but has no control over movie content.
"It is utterly undesirable, but we cannot stop software makers from selling such videos," a spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment said, according to a report in The Asahi Shimbun.
Sony developed UMD as a proprietary format specifically for the PSP at it provides storage of up to 1.8GB per disk.
However, the company has also licensed the format to third parties, leading to some problems when the disks were hacked last month.
This is not the first time the console has been targeted by pornographers. In April Playboy announced plans to offer pornographic downloads for PSP users.
