Distributor Computer 2000 (C2000) has begun a vast incentive programme based around the recently launched Windows 2000 operating system, as it braces itself for reseller demand for Microsoft's latest offering.
In the first of a number of Windows 2000-related promotional activities, C2000 will attempt to help resellers clarify the Windows 2000 product with a discount of up to 52 per cent on Windows 2000 training and the availability of an extensive sales guide.
The distributor claimed that 45,000 copies of the Windows 2000 Solutions Guide have already been ordered by resellers as the channel prepares to sell the operating system.
"With three different versions of the operating system and with a wide range of upgrade options, it's important that users and resellers are clear about their options," said Gordon May, C2000's general manager for software.
Tech Data, the parent company of C2000, has announced the launch of a European Cisco business unit. The unit will be based in Munich and is part of the company's plans to become the leading distributor of Cisco products across the region.
