McAfee has formed a new security group from its malware response teams to offer help and advice to organisations about emerging threats.
The Vulnerability Detection and Response Group will include input from McAfee's Labs, the office of the chief technology officer and Foundstone Professional Services.
McAfee claims that the service will help enterprises to identify risks, analyse systems and deal with recurring security concerns.
The nature of threats is changing, and McAfee said that it is seeing more and more attacks on enterprises in an attempt to steal sensitive information or intellectual property.
"It is unrealistic to think that companies have installed all the security controls to prevent every possible incident," the firm said in a statement.
"Having an incident response programme in place allows organisations to respond quickly and minimise damage and downtime when attacks and exploits occur."
McAfee has also launched a range of services to help companies react quickly to problems or potential problems.
"The hacking community has evolved. Gone are the days of hackers breaking into networks for fun or notoriety," said Stuart McClure, general manager of the McAfee risk and compliance business unit.
"Organisations today are experiencing targeted attacks with the goal of stealing sensitive information and financial gain. McAfee is now giving customers access to immediate help to better protect themselves."
