Asus has confirmed that a new Eee PC range unveiled at Computex will be available in the UK from 1 July.
The Eee PC 901 and 1000 run on Intel's Atom processor, which has been specifically designed for this emerging range of low-cost laptops or 'netbooks'.
The new Asus range sports bigger screens, more storage, 802.11n support, Bluetooth and better battery life than its predecessors. Each unit now comes with 20GB of online storage provided by Yo Store.
Asus claims to have sold more than a million Eee PC sets since the official launch in October last year.
"With constant innovations and implementation of the latest technologies in the new Eee PC range, we have expanded the original 3 'E's into Easy, Excellent and Exciting," said Jerry Shen, chief executive at Asus.
The runaway success of the tiny low-cost laptop has sparked a revolution in the industry, and most major manufacturers now produce similar products.
Asus said that the Eee PC 901 will retail for £319. Pricing for the slightly bigger 1000 model has yet to be confirmed.
