HP's new products and services are targeted at SMBs

HP has announced a raft of new products designed to give small and medium-sized businesses the tools they need to enhance productivity and work in a more flexible, environmentally-friendly manner.

The announcements expand HP’s Total Care portfolio and include HP Pro 3010/3015 Series Business Desktop PCs, which have been designed specifically for smaller businesses that have minimal IT support.

Also included are HP Connect solutions, such as Virtual Rooms and Huddle.net for online collaboration and virtual meetings, and new HP Compaq LE1711 and HP Compaq LE1911 LCD Monitors featuring low power consumption panels.

The HP Thin Clients and Microsoft Small Business Server Solution is a new bundle including email, internet connectivity, remote access, file and printer sharing, line-of-business applications, data backup, and mobile support.

HP also announced its ProCurve 2520 Switch Series, ProLiant ML110 and DL120 G6 Servers, the StorageWorks D2D Backup System and LeftHand P4000 SAN Solution.

“SMBs represent a cornerstone of the economy, and HP is partnering with SMBs to provide a technology boost as the economy rebounds,” said Charl Snyman, vice president of HP's Personal Systems Group in Europe.

“All businesses must find a reliable foundation on which to build their futures, and for SMBs, HP’s new offerings will help sustain their well-being and prepare them for upcoming growth.”

The announcements also included several new Energy Star-qualified laser jet printers and Hyper-V bundles designed to make available the low-cost, improved flexibility benefits of virtualisation technology to the SMB market.
