Cisco last week introduced Transaction Connection routers for IP networks.

The router, which was developed jointly with StarQuest Software, offers scalability ranging from 500 concurrent connections up to 5,000.

Users can buy bundles that include the router and the application that sits on the PC for £70,000 for 500 connections and £1.6 million for 5,000 connections.
