Cisco last week introduced Transaction Connection routers for IP networks.
The router, which was developed jointly with StarQuest Software, offers scalability ranging from 500 concurrent connections up to 5,000.
Users can buy bundles that include the router and the application that sits on the PC for £70,000 for 500 connections and £1.6 million for 5,000 connections.
PIX FIREWALL UPDATED
- Cisco is announcing today in Europe its new version of PIX firewall.
Cisco was forced to launch PIX-151 at a competitive price to meet demand in the low-end market, after the company found it was losing out to cheaper NT-based firewalls, Johann Strauss, Cisco's security marketing manager for Europe, told PC Week.
