Previous	On opening day, visitors start to arrive at the world’s biggest technology trade fair in Hannover, Germany. Delegates wait for the opening keynote on ICT and Civil Society. Intel chairman Craig Barrett told delegates that instead of talking about "cutting edge technology", he wanted to deal with the technology "people would not usually think about … relatively simple application technology which impacts people's lives". During the keynote session, Microsoft chief operating officer Kevin Turner spoke on innovation and enabling society through connectivity. MSI showed off new Wind and slimline laptop models at the Hannover event. Interviews could be carried out at the YouTube booth. Visitors could take time out to catch up on email at one of the handy rest areas.	Next
