Microsoft today promised gamers a preview of its next-generation Xbox console which it will demonstrate on music video channel MTV.
The device will be revealed next month to video gamers and MTV viewers in the US, Asia Pacific and Europe via a half-hour programme entitled MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed.
Viewers are promised an exclusive look at the forthcoming Xbox and unseen gameplay for future Xbox games, a peek into the future of the Xbox Live online gaming service, backstage celebrity interviews and exclusive insider footage on the making of the next-generation console.
The special show will be hosted by gamer and Xbox fan Elijah Wood, who is widely known for playing Frodo the Hobbit in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Las Vegas rockers The Killers have been booked to provide the music for the show. The global broadcast will kick off on 12 May in North America and reach the UK on 13 May at 10pm.
