Google has unveiled a new advertising service which combines the search giant's AdManager with the DoubleClick DART platform.
DoubleClick for Publishers offers a number of improvements and new features, including better ad placement algorithms, enhanced ad tracking and reporting, and a new user interface.
Google has also released a public API which will allow developers to embed DoubleClick for Publishers in their applications. The service will also integrate with DoubleClick's AdExchange auction platform.
"The upgraded [DoubleClick For Publishers] is part of our suite of products designed to help online publishers maximise advertising revenues," said Google vice president of product management Neal Mohan.
"Ad serving is the machinery that powers the online advertising world, so improving that technology can put a lot of money in publishers' pockets."
