Dell has added a new series of laptops with 15.6in displays and a focus on multimedia to its Inspiron range.
Available now from Dell's web site, the Inspiron 15 is configured for entertainment, productivity and connectivity, according to the firm. All models feature a 15.6in display with a wide-screen (16:9) aspect ratio designed for watching movies.
Prices start at £329 including VAT for a base system with a 2GHz Intel Pentium T4200 processor. Other models use Core 2 Duo chips. Memory is up to 4Gb, with hard drive options of 160GB, 250GB or 320GB.
Other options include a DVD or Blu-ray optical drive, and face recognition security software.
David Clifton, Dell's director of consumer marketing in Europe, said that the Inspiron 15 expands laptop personalisation through attractive design, an array of optional features and an affordable price.
The Inspiron 15 comes in a choice of Midnight Blue, Jet Black and Ruby Red.
