The SCO Group has changed the URL of its main website in an attempt to defeat the distributed denial of service (DoS) attack against www.sco.com launched by the MyDoom worms.
Darl McBride, president and chief executive of SCO, said in a statement: "Because one of [the worm's] purposes is to interrupt access to the www.sco.com website, we are taking steps to help our important stakeholders continue to access the information, data and support that they need from this new website."

All of the information on the site is unchanged, although links to MyDoom removal utilities have been added.
The new URL (www.thescogroup.com) will remain until 12 February even though the DoS attack is expected to run until March.
