Adobe has updated its Acrobat.com hosted applications service with a new interface, and mobile access functionality designed to enhance user productivity and collaboration.
Acrobat.com is Adobe's online file organiser, office applications, PDF creation and web meeting tools. The firm said that it has incorporated over 35 features suggested by customers into the new version of the site.
These include support for Flickr and Google images in online presentations, integration with Adobe's Kuler colour scheme tool, and enhancements to Buzzword and Presentations and Tables previously found in Acrobat.com Labs.
Adobe has also ramped up mobile access with the updated Acrobat.com. The new mobile app from scanR allows users to upload from smartphone to Acrobat.com and read and share stored files on mobile devices.
Users of the free service will be able to send two outbound faxes and upload up to five documents from a mobile phone. An upgrade is available for users who need to fax or upload more documents.
"Acrobat.com is about taking advantage of the web's ability to connect people in new and powerful ways," said Rick Treitman, director of product management at Acrobat.com.
"Adobe's online tools give people the advantage of working together from anywhere, and from virtually any device. This release of Acrobat.com is another step in helping people collaborate and communicate with ease and flexibility."
