US online retailer buy.com launched in the UK today, promising discounted prices on electronics goods.
The company said it would undercut rivals, such as UK retailer Dixons, on 10,000 computer products.

"This is just the beginning of a long-term plan to be the UK's leading internet superstore," said Murray Hennessy, chief executive of buy.com.
Buy.com, for example, is selling a Kodak DC215 digital camera for £219.95 against Dixons' online price of £249.75.
The retailer has more than 2.3 million customers in the US and plans to launch in France and Germany in the coming months.
