Google has updated its search results pages, providing several new search options and a navigation bar on the left-hand side.
The bar offers three options for sorting and navigating results, one of which is the experimental Google Square which suggests related items to the search query.
Other items on the bar include a Universal Search option which presents results from various Google search tools, and the Search Options customisation service.
The update also includes a tweak to the search page's colour palette, which Google says provides a more "modern" look.
"The new design refreshes and streamlines the look, feel and functionality of Google, making it easier to pinpoint what you're looking for," said Marisa Mayer, vice president of search products and user experience at Goole, in a blog post.
"Today's changes are the latest in our continuing efforts to evolve and improve Google."
