Vodafone is to drop international roaming charges during the summer, allowing customers to make international calls for the same cost as a UK call. The offer applies to business customers as well as consumers, the mobile operator said.
Vodafone Pay As You Go and Pay Monthly customers will be able to call, text and send picture messages in over 35 countries across Europe for the same cost as in the UK. The deal runs from 1 June to the end of August.
UK business customers on Anytime or Your Plan price plans will also benefit from the same three-month promotion, as will consumers on the Vodafone Passport tariff. The latter already enables users to make calls at standard UK rates after paying a connection charge.
The company is also cutting the cost of calling abroad from the UK. From 15 May, Pay As You Go customers on the firm's Simply tariff will be able to make international calls from 5p per minute to both landlines and mobiles.
