Apple's tablet device is due to arrive in 2010 and will cost $600

Speculation that an Apple tablet device would be worth billions for the firm has caused the biggest flurry of excitement among readers this week. According to research firm Piper Jaffray, the device will arrive in 2010, will cost $600 (£362), and will serve as a mid-point between the iPod Touch and the MacBook.

V3.co.uk’s review of Microsoft's server operating system update Windows Server 2008 R2 has also been popular with readers and earned the product a five-star rating.

Elsewhere, Microsoft has a new legal battle on its plate this week after a judge ruled that the firm is infringing on an XML patent held by vendor i4i with its Office Word application, while a new report has indicated that upgrading to Windows 7 is going to prove trickier than first thought.
