The new LaserJets are also power-efficient, according to HP

HP has expanded its printer portfolio in Europe with the addition of a mono laser and two new colour models, and announced new branding.

The printer giant said the new branding means LaserJet Professional printers will now target small to medium sized businesses, while LaserJet Enterprise models are aimed at larger organisations.

The new simplified stance is intended to help companies select the hardware best suited for their business needs, according to HP.

LaserJet Professional printers provide cost-effective results for smaller firms, the firm said, while the LaserJet Enterprise portfolio offers the greater manageability and features required by larger customers.

Of the three new models, the HP Colour LaserJet Enterprise CP4525 is aimed at customers looking for a robust colour printer that can be shared across a large workgroup, according to HP.

Pricing starts at £779 for the CP4525n, while the CP4525dn adds duplex capability for £979. The CP4525xh model has three extra paper bins and a stand for £1,899.

A second colour model, the HP Colour LaserJet Professional CP5225, is described as ideal for small work teams in unmanaged print environments, and supports the handling of a variety of media from postcard-sized up to posters, HP said.

Pricing for this model also starts at £799, but does not include a network adapter. This comes with the CP5225n model at £829, with the CP5225dn adding duplex printing for £939.

Meanwhile, the HP LaserJet Enterprise P3015 is a new mono printer aimed at small teams within an enterprise that need to output higher volumes with print speeds up to 40ppm, according to HP.

The entry-level P3015d has duplex printing as standard for £379, while the P3015dn adds networking at £479 and the P3015x additionally supports an extra 500-sheet paper bin for £549.

All three models are Energy Star qualified and make use of instant-on tech nology to help further reduce costs and environmental impact.
