Symantec has continued its acquisition spree by reaching an agreement to acquire Liric Associates, a UK enterprise security consultancy.

The acquistion follows hot on the heels of Symantec's move to buy digital security company @stake, which also provides digital security consulting services and security auditing and analysis.
According to Symantec, both transactions are expected to close in October, and will allow the firm to expand the capacity of its global professional services group.
"Customers have asked Symantec to offer services that complement our security technologies," said Aled Miles, Symantec's northern Europe managing director and vice president.
"Liric Associates has an unparalleled reputation as the leader in designing security solutions to address the needs of highly complex networks. Its people and knowledge will expand our consulting capabilities and allow us to better meet the needs of our customers."
