Microsoft has announced pricing details for the Xbox launch in Japan. The console will retail for 34,800 yen (£184) with 12 games available when it goes on sale on 22 February.
It is a kick in the teeth for UK gamers who will have to fork out a whopping £299 when it launches here on 14 March.

The Xbox will compete with Sony's PlayStation 2 which, according to Sony, has now reached sales of eight million in North America and 20 million overall due to high sales over the Christmas period.
