Oracle has filed an amended and restated offer to purchase PeopleSoft with US regulator the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The database giant said in a statement that it is undaunted by PeopleSoft's recent merger with JD Edwards.
"Oracle's filing reaffirms the company's intention to continue its offer for PeopleSoft, following the completion of PeopleSoft's exchange offer for JD Edwards."
As part of the new filing, Oracle said that it has eliminated the condition requiring its consent for any amendment to the merger agreement between PeopleSoft and JD Edwards.
