BT has appointed Sally Davis to replace Paul Reynolds as head of BT Wholesale, the division previously entrusted with the rollout of the telco's next-generation 21st Century Network.
Davis joined BT in 1999 and was most recently responsible for managing BT's product and service portfolio. She is also BT's disability champion.
Reynolds announced his departure from BT at the end of June to become chief executive of Telecom New Zealand, just as BT's 21st Century voice calls service trial in Cardiff came to a close.
Under a reorganisation the 21CN network will now be managed by the new divisions BT Design & Operate, under Andy Green.
Davis will take up her role in September, when Reynolds departs, and report directly to BT chief executive Ben Verwaayen.
