BT has unveiled the first content for its newly unveiled Vision TV service
BT has announced a number of deals to license programming and develop interactive content

BT has raised the curtain on the first content that will feature on its newly unveiled Vision TV service.

The telco has sealed an agreement with production company Endemol to license programming and develop interactive content.

BT has also signed a deal with the Cartoon Network to license programming such as the Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory and to develop interactive content.

Other content deals already announced include BBC Worldwide, Paramount, Warner Music Group, National Geographic Channel, HIT Entertainment and Nelvana.

The service will combine access to digital terrestrial channels through the aerial with broadband-powered video on demand delivered on a software platform powered by Microsoft through a set-top box made by Philips.

BT confirmed that there will be no mandatory monthly subscription.

BT Vision will be powered by the BT Hub, which will also allow wireless networking for PCs and laptops and up to five different calls to be made at the same time using VoIP technology.
