Security vendor PandaLabs has posted the first public beta of its upcoming Global Protection 2010 security suite.
The new beta will specifically target end users, particularly those who use the service on home computers.
In an effort to boost participation in the public beta programme, the company is offering rewards to testers. Users who find a previously unknown flaw will receive a 50 per cent discount on the final product.
Additionally, the 10 users who provide what the company deems as the greatest contributions in reporting problems will receive $200 (£125) gift vouchers for Amazon.com.
Panda is hoping to tie cloud computing into the new suite by adding the web-based Collective Intelligence system which allows users to constantly receive alerts and signature updates.
The suite will include anti-malware components, firewall software and tools to guard against phishing, spam and identity theft.
Other vendors have begun to implement similar cloud systems in an effort to keep up with the increasing load of new malware samples appearing every day. Panda estimates that its service classifies roughly 35,000 new samples per day.
