Pulling it all together
A great discussion, but surely the starting point is to understand what the end to end business flow is before you can work out how to build the integrations. This seems no different from the on-premise world, but the difference is that with Force.com business users & IT are building apps far more quickly, as discussed in my blog > http://is.gd/4UgZO So use of a business process mapping application such as Nimbuscontrol.com enables you to capture/discover the process, system test the apps, deploy the processes as training materials with links to launch the app.
