Research in Motion (RIM) has released a second preview video for its Blackberry 6 operating system.
BlackBerry 6: Another Sneak Peek demonstrates the new interface and the platform's social networking features.
RIM said that the interface has been designed to be "more fluid" and to make use of full touch-screen smartphone systems.
Other highlighted features are an updated carousel-style media interface, and a Universal Search component.
The preview also showed new social networking features, including components to read and organise updates from services such as Twitter.
BlackBerry 6 was announced in April, and is built around the same Webkit browser engine that powers the iPhone and Android platforms.
The release is slated to hit the market later this summer, but a specific date has yet to be given.
RIM unveiled a new service yesterday called BlackBerry Protect that allows users to back up their systems as well as track and wipe lost or stolen handsets.
