Zoho Calendar will let users unite information across applications

Online apps firm Zoho has moved its calendar application out of beta, promising that the application will let users unify information, and import events from across systems and devices.

Zoho Calendar includes new features allowing enterprise users to import, share and subscribe to other calendars.

"We have added a number of integration points to Zoho Calendar, so users with multiple online calendars can gain a single, unified view of their overall schedule with Zoho Calendar," said Raju Vegesna, technology evangelist at Zoho.

"For instance, Zoho Calendar integrates with the calendars in Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects as well as third-party calendars such as Google Calendar. And the integration works both ways, so users can populate those calendar applications with Zoho Calendar data."

Vegesna said that the firm plans to to integrate Zoho Calendar tightly into other Zoho applications in the future.

Users can also create multiple calendars for different events, and merge information from third-party diaries such as those for sporting events. Meanwhile, the originators calendar can be shared and uploaded to blogs or web sites.

A plug-in for Microsoft Office will let users synchronise information, and Zoho said that its application has been optimised for use on all standard mobile browsers, including iPhone and Android.

Zoho also lets users input in natural language. For example, making the entry 'dinner at seven' will recognise the event and put it in the correct slot in the diary.
