Microsoft has added an environmental channel to its MSN portal, offering information and resources on green issues.
MSN Environment includes news, videos, eco-friendly tips, interactive tools and exclusive features.
The channel offers a carbon calculator, a water usage meter and a maps page which uses 2D and 3D images to highlight areas of the planet most affected by global warming, animal extinction and pollution.
The site will also provide "insightful features", as well as message boards and blogs where users can share environmentally-friendly hints and tips.
"People are becoming increasingly concerned about the environment and are looking for ways they can help out and become part of the solution rather than the problem," said Peter Bale, executive producer for Microsoft UK.
Users of MSN Environment will be able take a green pledge and find out about green events and activities in their local area.
