It won't be the first time that the cars of Formula 1 and the ladies of Playboy have met, but both franchises have announced plans to enter the virtual world of Second Life.
The ING Renault F1 Team will be the first to set up home in the online community, beginning with a press conference featuring Finnish star Heikki Kovalainen on 25 May.
"Second Life presents an opportunity for enthusiasts and people new to Formula 1 to join a single virtual community in which they can share their passion and enthusiasm for the sport," said a statement from the ING Renault F1 team.
"People will be able to debate freely while taking the opportunity to interact with team members from the F1 team during regular post-race events."
There are fewer details about how much interaction the residents of Second Life will enjoy with the Playboy bunnies.
So far the teaser adverts hint only that the ladies will be online by June 2007. Users can submit their email address for future updates.
