Microsoft has admitted it that faces an uphill task pitching the Xbox games console against rivals Sony and Nintendo in Japan.
The company is in the process of revving up its marketing juggernaut for the Japanese release of the console.

Microsoft expects to ship six million units by June, but analysts are predicting that it will be lucky to shift more than 300,000 in the first few weeks.
Sony sold more than one million PlayStation 2 consoles in the first 10 days when it hit the Japanese streets in March 2000, and by last December it had sold eight million in Japan alone.
The battle may lead to a price war as Microsoft's Xbox is more expensive than Nintendo's GameCube and Sony's PlayStation 2.
