AMD-owned graphics card maker ATI has rolled out a new model in its FirePro line of enterprise graphics accelerator cards.
The ATI FirePro 2450 can support up to four monitors and 512MB of graphics memory while using roughly 18 Watts of power. The card will support PCI Express 2.0 connections and either DVI-I or VGA displays.
ATI said that the FirePro 2450 would target markets such as financial services, where users often require multiple displays on a single workstation.
"The ATI FirePro 2450 offers the reliability professionals expect and the efficiency IT departments require," said Janet Matsuda, senior director of AMD's professional graphics line.
"IT managers want a card they can test once, deploy virtually anywhere, and count on to run reliably."
The FirePro 2450 will replace the FireMVcard in ATI's enterprise line up. Since August, the company has sought to rebrand its Fire line of cards under the new FirePro banner.
