HP and Avaya have announced an agreement to collaborate on new unified communications offerings.
The two firms have agreed a three-year deal in which HP will offer companies bundled unified communications packages comprising both HP and Avaya products.
The offerings will combine hardware and software from Avaya with HP's own unified communications consulting and management services.
"Organisations face constant change and the decisions they make must be flexible enough to meet future needs, such as unification of real-time communication with Web 2.0 and social media applications," said HP technology services senior vice president and general manager Gary M Budzinski.
"With HP and Avaya, clients can increase the agility of their existing communication architectures and realise the aspiration of unified communications for multivendor interoperability and ultimately save organisational costs."
