Yuuguu has extended its flagship real-time collaboration platform to integrate internet telephony service Skype.
The platform currently enables workers in distributed teams to collaborate in real time by offering screen sharing capabilities, cross-protocol instant messaging and web conferencing functionality.
The new Skype integration was rolled out after overwhelming user feedback, according to Yuuguu chief executive Anish Kapoor.
"It has been one of our biggest requests," he said. "Around 200,000 people worldwide have used Yuuguu, and most use it alongside Skype. We do not have a VoIP offering, so we have brought Skype into our overall aggregation platform."
The Yuuguu for Skype beta is available for Mac and PC owners to download for free from today.
Instant screen sharing, real-time collaboration with other Skype users and the use of Web Share web conferencing is free for up to 100 minutes a month, with a maximum of five participants per session.
Users can upgrade to Yuuguu Plus for $15 (£9.70) a month for unlimited screen sharing, real-time collaboration and web conferencing, and the ability to have up to 30 people in a session.
