Security firm Trend Micro has unveiled a new threat management service that promises to provide an overview of a company's existing security infrastructure.
Trend Micro Threat Management Services offers a security layer that can boost protection against attacks that may have been missed by existing systems, the firm said.
The new solution will provide proactive early warning, containment and remediation, increased protection, greater visibility and less management complexity, according to Trend Micro.
"Conventional security technologies such as endpoint anti-virus, web security gateways, email security gateways and intrusion prevention systems are struggling to keep up with today's targeted attacks designed to be stealthy and go undetected while they systematically steal sensitive data," said Thomas Miller, general manager at Trend Micro.
"Organisations need a security defence layer like Threat Management Services to provide visibility into where malware is hiding, along with proactive warnings and effective measures to contain the threat and clean up the network. "
The service is offered in three flavours, and includes network-based anti-malware technology which detects and removes security problems, a signature-less cleanup tool, and Trend's own security expertise which offers 24/7 malware infection monitoring, remediation and security planning, the firm said.
The three versions are Threat Discovery Services, which offers an overview of risks, Threat Remediation Services, which adds the input of human beings to the discovery process, and Threat Lifecycle Management Services, which offers to fix the problems.
Trend Micro is offering a free two-week trial of the new services.
