Telstra Europe, the European alternative operator unit of Australian carrier Telstra, has announced plans to break into the UK broadband market.
The business telephony and data service provider has launched a range of services across the UK with speeds of up to 8Mbps. The 8Mbps service retails at £39.99 per month.
Telstra Europe's Business Broadband offerings include free installation, high speed connectivity, nationwide coverage, 24/7 customer and technical support, a .uk domain name, email and web hosting, and a service level agreement including guaranteed time to repair.
David Thorn, chief executive at Telstra Europe, said: "As the business world strives for ever quicker communications, Telstra is one of the first providers to launch an enhanced business broadband service across the UK with download speeds of up to 8Mbps.
"In addition to speed, IT managers should also be considering the overall service provision available from a broadband provider, which includes breadth of network coverage, level of customer support and pricing stability."
