Oracle has launched its Enterprise Single Sign-on (ESSO) Anywhere service that provides enterprise users with a single identity for accessing applications over the internet.
ESSO Anywhere is designed to operate as part of the larger ESSO suite and Oracle Identity Management, a user access and data compliance management platform.
By adding the ESSO Anywhere component, Oracle is looking to allow customers to access applications across mainframe, client server and web-based systems, further filling out the ESSO offering.
"Now, users can just sign on to a web portal page and download and activate the Oracle ESSO Anywhere client that is pre-loaded with authorised credentials for all user-entitled resources," said Amit Jasuja, vice president of identity management at Oracle.
"This not only simplifies secure access, but can result in lower maintenance costs for enterprises, leading to better enterprise security and business agility."
